There was a bug that prevented communication with certain servers. Is the problem still persisting?

I downloaded your ventro bl and it does go past a white box. Is there an option page or a button I’m missing?

VentBL is just a buddy list, not a fully functional Ventrilo client. You will only be able to see who’s online. :) Let me know if you have any other questions.

I’m not sure I understand the question. Can you explain where you’re getting stuck? :) Thanks!

    Hi Michael,
I purchased VentBL for my iPad2 yesterday and it isn’t working. I bought it for it’s intended purpose of checking who is in my groups vent that I pay for. I added the vent info and received the error; “no response from server”. I contacted my groups admin that controls all of our servers and apps, including vent, to check the Vent’s configuration. He reported back that the configuration shows that remote statusing will return server comment, channel names, channel comments, user names and user comments. He also said that Game Tracker is working and reporting fine so it should work. Do you have any thoughts as I don’t know where to go from here.
    thanks

I would like to buy this app but I would like to know if your going to make any changes such as being able to add a password or adding where we can talk to the people in the vent? Thanks for your time…

To my knowledge, passwords do not matter. The only thing that VentBL needs in order to work is for the server to permit status requests. If you’d like me to test a server for you, and confirm that it will show up correctly with VentBL, email me the details, and I’ll let you know. :)

    Hi,

How exactly would you go about to enable the remote status? Is it the “Remote Status Privacy” module that needs to be checked? – I have everything checked but I’m still having trouble connecting to the server via app. It displays that’s it’s attempting to connect, until the end of time, but fails to prompt an error message.

    What else could be wrong?

Unfortunately I don’t run my own Ventrilo Server, so I’m not knowledgeable on configurations. Sorry! :(

Dude I just bought this app on my iPad2 and it doesn’t have a password box or any thing because my server requires one.. And please make it were we can talk and/or change rooms because that’s a main aspect for vent. If not please let your customers know be4 they buy your item. This is really disappointing and I would really appreciate I if you can get back to me about that. Thank you or your time.

You should be able to view the status of your ventrilo server, without having to enter a password, so long as that feature has been enabled on your server. If you want to privately send me the host information, I’d be glad to test it for you, to make sure it works with VentBL. Just send me a contact form with the info. :)

I don’t believe you need to use a password in order to view the server status. It’s not the same thing as logging in. It just needs to be enabled in your server settings.
